Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Fireman First Class or Fireman Second Class to join our team in managing the operations of our high-pressure boiler plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient boiler operations, conducting regular equipment checks, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
This position qualifies for an annual retention bonus of $3,000

Job Description:
Job Summary: We are looking for a dedicated Fireman First Class or Fireman Second Class to join our team in managing the operations of our high-pressure boiler plant. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring safe and efficient boiler operations, conducting regular equipment checks, and responding to emergencies as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sign the state logbook to assume shift responsibilities and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
- Monitor and document daily fuel, steam generation, and water usage for environmental compliance.
- Perform regular inspections and maintenance on all boiler and auxiliary equipment.
- Collect and analyze water samples to ensure proper chemistry.
- Respond promptly to emergencies involving natural gas, steam, and electrical systems.
- Collaborate with vendors for repairs and oversee maintenance tasks.
- Maintain smoke opacity alarms and perform safety valve tests as required.
- Assist the HVAC department during summer shutdown and perform necessary repairs.
- Valid Massachusetts Fireman First Class or Second Class license.
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and protocols.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience with high-pressure boiler operations.
