We are currently seeking to hire a highly dedicated elementary school counselor. Our Ideal Candidate :
Holds, or is eligible to obtain, a current Wisconsin Teaching License as a School Counselor
Passionate and engaging educator.
Demonstrates ability to build positive, nurturing relationships with all learners by setting learning expectations at students' readiness levels.
Collaborate with student services teams and all employees to integrate student services initiatives.
Ability to maintain a positive and safe learning environment.
Collaborative and exceptional solutions-oriented mindsets.
Experience using evidence-based interventions for social, emotional, and behavioral skills.
Ability to be flexible and adaptable, especially during times of change.
Demonstrates good communication skills, including ability to guide and supervise groups of students, maintain confidentiality, and work with students in a positive and motivational manner.
Maintains positive home-school communications and relationships.
Demonstrates proficient office skills with computers and software.
Maintains accurate student progress and behavioral records.
Able to interact with others effectively, follow directions, and initiate activities independently.
Enjoy working with students and other staff members.
Demonstrates and supports a culture of diversity, equity, and inclusion.
Bilingual (Spanish) skills and abilities are a plus.
