Mount Jubilee Ministries was established in 2005 as a non-profit 501(C)(3) faith based organization to partner with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, their families and our community to help provide opportunities for productive living. MJM is a grassroots organization commissioned to provide alternative programs and services for the mild to moderate teen and adult I/DD community.
Job Type: Full Time
Education: High school diploma required; Associates preferred
Hiring Range: $16 - $17/hour
Recommended Experience: customer service, community service, mission work
Job Brief: MJM is looking for a ministry-minded person to fill a full-time 1-1 Support Staff position. This person will provide individual support, documentation, facilitation of activities and maintaining a safe and enjoyable environment for one day program participant.
1-1 Support Staff Responsibilities:
- Skill Development: Supporting individuals in learning and enhancing skills necessary for independence, including communication, social interactions, and vocational abilities.
- Community Integration: Encouraging and facilitating participation in community activities, fostering social connections, and promoting inclusion.
- Advocacy and Support: Assisting individuals in expressing their needs and goals, ensuring their rights are respected, and providing emotional support.
- Safety and Well-being: Maintaining a safe environment, recognizing and addressing potential risks, and implementing individualized support plans.
Schedule: 1-1 Support Staff work according to program hours at specific locations –
· Greensboro – Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
· Reidsville – Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
· Winston – Monday through Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
