The Mount Mansfield Unified Union School District (MMMUSD) is seeking an innovative and energetic Pre-Kindergarten teacher for our Richmond school-based program. We are looking for a motivated and responsible professional who is passionate about teaching young children and committed to fostering their growth and development.

Utilize a strengths-based approach , identifying and building upon each child's unique abilities to inspire confidence, enthusiasm, and continuous growth.
Implement play-based learning strategies that encourage active engagement, creativity, problem-solving, and social-emotional development through purposeful and enjoyable play activities.
Incorporate nature-based education , creating opportunities for outdoor exploration and hands-on learning in natural settings to enhance cognitive, physical, and emotional development while fostering environmental stewardship.
Applicants should have excellent communication skills, be a collaborative team player, and demonstrate a strong desire to work closely with other Pre-K programs within the RES building and district. This position offers the opportunity to shape a dynamic learning environment that nurtures curiosity, resilience, and lifelong learning in young children.
Experience in the following areas are helpful:
Using the Vermont Early Learning Standards (VELS)
STep Ahead Recognition System (STARS)
Teaching Strategies Gold Assessments
Familiarity with State licensing requirements is necessary.
Responsibilities include:
Planning and implementation of a play based PreK curriculum
Working collaboratively with all special education service providers
Supervision of classroom assistant
Partnering with other PreK programs in the building
Specific job requirements:
Hold a VT Licensure with an endorsement in Early Childhood (0-36) or have the ability to obtain licensure.
Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices.
Ability to work as a team and communicate effectively with co-workers and parents.
Warm & caring personality, flexible, creative, and possess a good sense of humor.
