Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Banquet Server/Set-Up to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest experiences during events and banquets. The Banquet Server/Set-Up will work closely with the event staff to ensure that all guest needs are met promptly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Set up banquet rooms according to event specifications, including table settings and decorations.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Ensure compliance with food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
- Assist with the breakdown of banquet events, including cleaning up and resetting the venue for future use.
- Provide excellent guest services by responding to inquiries and addressing any concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas throughout the event.
- Uphold high standards of hospitality and professionalism at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the food industry, particularly in banquet or event settings, is preferred.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential.
- Strong guest relations skills with the ability to create a welcoming atmosphere for attendees.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are required.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed for events.
- A background in hospitality or hotel services is a plus.
- Ability to lift 10-50 lbs regularly.
