Purpose:
Responsible for implementing programs and workshops for student-athletes and coaching staff around Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI). Assist Head Strength and Conditioning coach with creating and overseeing programming for teams in the weight room.
Duties:
- Plans and implements the DEI programming for student-athletes
- Plans and implements DEI programming for athletic department staff
- Work with the HCAC (Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference)
- Diversity, Equity and Inclusion team
- Present at HCAC meetings about the DEI effort at Mount Saint Joseph University
- Attend NCAA Convention in January yearly
- Seeks out and attends conferences in relationship with DEI
- Assist the strength and conditioning coach with creating programming for teams
- Oversee strength and conditioning sessions with teams
- Assist in maintenance of equipment in the Harrington Center weight room
- Demonstrates integrity and upholds the values and mission of the University
- Maintains relationship with media to enhance promotion of the University
- Supports total athletic program
- Supervise open gymnasium as needed and as permitted by NCAA Bylaws for safety purposes.
- Event management as assigned by the Director of Athletics
- Committee assignments and other duties appropriate to skills and training as assigned by supervisors.
- Contributes to team effort by welcoming new and different work requirements; exploring new opportunities to enhance the services of the division; helping others accomplish related job results as and where needed.

Works toward a previously defined objective and uses a wide range of procedures exercising discretion and judgment; consulting and referring to the Director of Athletics as appropriate
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree required
Experience: Work in Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Field, Diversity, Equity and Inclusion certificate preferred. Strength and Conditioning Certification preferred, work in strength and conditioning required
Specialized Training: Ability to drive University vans, First Aid and CPR

Work Environment, Physical Demands:
