Mount St. Joseph University invites qualified applicants to apply for a full-time, tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the School of Education. The ideal candidate will demonstrate practical experience and expertise in multiple areas, including early childhood, elementary and special education. Candidates should also have an expertise in reading science.
Responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate and/or graduate courses in education.
- Advising and mentoring students.
- Supervising student teachers and field experiences.
- Contributing to the development and enhancement of undergraduate and graduate programs.
- Providing service to the department, university, and professional community.
- Engaging in scholarly activities and maintaining active involvement in professional organizations.
- Fulfilling other duties as assigned to support the mission of the School of Education and the university.

Qualifications
The successful candidate must hold a doctoral degree in education or a closely related field. Additional requirements include:
- Experience in preparing practitioners in evidence-based educational practices.
- Extensive experience working with diverse students, families, and school communities.
- A proven track record of excellence in undergraduate and/or graduate teaching.
The candidate will be responsible for teaching a variety of courses within the School of Education, contributing to the preparation of future educators, and fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment.
