What are the responsibilities and job description for the BANNER Project Coordinator and Business Processor Advisor (Temporary) position at Mount Wachusett Community College?
General Statement of Duties:
Serve as the Project Coordinator for the recommissioning of the Ellucian BANNER Finance module . Also serve as advisor to Vice President of Finance and Administration in the redesign of financial service processes and policies and recommissioning of Ellucian BANNER. Provide support, coaching, and guidance to staff in documenting current workflow processes, the redesign of process and policies, and recommissioning of the fiancé module to maximize features of BANNER.
We are seeking an individual with significant Ellucian BANNER experience ideally with Commonwealth and public higher education experience. Someone that is detail-oriented and organized to assist in guiding and oversee the recommissioning of the BANNER Finance module. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the project is completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities:
Process Improvement
- Assist VPFA in leading business process transformation efforts Provide guidance in development of new processes and policies to ensure compliance with standards and best practices issued by the Governmental accounting Standards Board (GASB), Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB), National Association of College and University Business Officers, Internal Revenue Service, Department of Education and other agencies.
Project Management:
- Assist in developing project plans, timelines, and milestones.
- Coordinate with stakeholders to gather requirements and define project scope.
- Schedule and facilitate project meetings, including preparing agendas and documenting minutes.
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including project plans, status reports, and risk logs.
- Ensure all project documentation is up-to-date and accessible to team members.
Communication and Collaboration:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for project-related communications.
- Liaise between finance, IT, and other departments to ensure alignment and collaboration.
- Prepare and present project progress reports to senior management.
- Assist VPFA in providing regular updates to stakeholders on project status, risks, and issues.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- At least 5 years of progressively increasing experience with BANNER Finance module.
- Experience leading implementation teams and managing process improvement teams

Additional Information:
Salary: $90,000.00-$95,000.00
