JOB DESCRIPTION
Title: Operations Supervisor
Department: Operations Department
Type: Part Time, Non-Exempt
Immediate Supervisor: Operations Manager
Supervision Exercised: Building Operations Department
General Statement of Duties:
This position shall assist in the operation of the facility. This includes conversions, mechanical equipment, facility maintenance, ice making, ice preparation and maintenance, efficient use of staff, safety compliance, as well as the items listed below.
Areas of Responsibilities:
- Wear nametag and/or proper event credentials, adhere to dress code, and abide by code of conduct as set forth in employee handbook and as dictated by Management.
- Follow and ensure others are following laws and regulations set forth by governmental agencies (OSHA), as well as best practices set forth by Management.
- Obtain and keep current all applicable licenses and certifications to operate equipment.
- Maintain positive relationships with coworkers, vendors, tenants, touring staff, and other facility user groups.
- Communicate accurate and up to date information to Management to be recorded in the facility’s maintenance and repair logs.
- Lead teams to achieve objectives in a timely and efficient manner, such as completing building conversions within scheduled timeframe and budget, performing preventative maintenance on equipment, and repairing broken items.
- Responsible for all setup and teardown of event spaces within Mountain America Center, including placing/removing flooring, stages, tables, chairs, and other fixtures.
- Responsible for assisting with the maintenance and repair of the facility and its assets, such as changing air handler filters, repairing broken seats, and tightening safety wires.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized back of house, tool room, warehouse, and other areas utilized by the Operations Department.
- Performs other tasks and duties as assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
Demonstrated knowledge of current management principles and practices in a similar facility environment. Must be able to read blue prints, schematics, and room layouts. Must be able to regularly lift 40 pounds, kneel, stoop, climb ladders. Must be 16 years of age or older due to nature of the job.
