Mental Health Assoicate (MHA) School based

Mountain Comprehensive Care Center is hiring for a Mental Health Associate to serve the Logan County School District.

PURPOSE: To provide therapeutic interventions, referral and assessment services to clients/children in a school based setting.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC). Will consider LPCA, CSW, or Bachelor degree in a Human Service field.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree in a mental health discipline (i.e: psychology, social work, counseling) from an accredited college/university and experience working with the targeted population. Minimum of Bachelor degree in Human Services field required.

SPECIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES: One year experience with appropriate evidence-based practices preferred. Good verbal and written skills; creativity; patience and flexibility. Must pass a background check and have a valid KY driver’s license.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provide direct support to students with mental health needs in a school setting.
• Implement applied behavior analysis techniques to promote positive behaviors.
• Conduct intake assessments and maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA.
• Collaborate with educators and parents to develop individualized support plans.
• Facilitate crisis intervention and support for students experiencing emotional distress.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary.
• Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills in behavioral health and special education.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.75 - $21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
