What are the responsibilities and job description for the CAC Case Manager position at MOUNTAIN EMPIRE OLDER CITIZENS INC?
JOBS SUMMARY: Master’s degree in human services, social work or related field preferred, licensure eligible. May be in process of completing master’s degree program that can lead to licensure. Must have the ability to professionally communicate with clients, parents, families and other agencies. Must maintain confidentiality of all children and families. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, experience working with families, knowledge of basic crisis intervention, knowledge of the dynamics of abuse, and understanding of diversity. Must be flexible, non-judgmental, and a team player.
- Schedule appointments for counseling
- Maintain regular phone contact with victims and NOCs
- Work with multidisciplinary team members and advisory board members as necessary in providing services
- Assist clinical director in preparing for and conducting support groups
- Provide supervision of other family members while accompanying victim to CAC
- Assist with maintaining case tracking and maintenance of record keeping of victims’ cases
- Enter data into computer
- Provide crisis intervention and trauma focused mental health treatment to victims and families as necessary
- Assist with intake process
- Assist with set-up for forensic interviews
- Maintain files
- Answer phone and provide general information to callers
- Greet visitors
- Participate in on-the-job training and continuing education related to CAC
