Mountain Lake Lodge is a historic, rustic boutique resort on a 2600 acres mountaintop nature preserve. MLL is most known for its role as the film location for the 1986 cult classic, Dirty Dancing. The iconic lodge in the movie known as Kellerman's Mountain House is Mountain Lake Lodge. The resort is a year-round destination with some seasonality to its staffing needs. At the height of the season the lodge will employ 150 employees with 75 of these being seasonal team members.
Mountain Lake Lodge offer a wide variety of recreational activities, two wedding venues, three restaurants, and 22 miles of hiking trails.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for a Human Resources Director located near Blacksburg, VA. The Human Resources Director will be responsible for recruitment, HR policies, employee relations, performance management, and ensuring compliance with labor and employment law. (This position is a one person HR department. You are the HR Director who is also handling administrative tasks).
Qualifications
- Human Resources (HR) and HR Policies knowledge
- Experience in Employee Relations and Performance Management
- Understanding of Labor and Employment Law
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality
- Strong leadership and problem-solving skills
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field
