We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Certified Notary Public to join our team in West Virginia. This position involves notarizing documents, ensuring compliance with state laws, and providing excellent customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Verify signers’ identities and ensure they understand the documents they are signing.
- Administer oaths, witness signatures, and complete notarial acts.
- Maintain an accurate notary journal of all transactions.
- Use an official notary seal in compliance with West Virginia law.
- Notarize documents such as affidavits, contracts, deeds, and loan paperwork.
- Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive client information.
- Keep up-to-date with West Virginia notary laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Must be a certified notary public in West Virginia.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Reliable transportation (for mobile notary services, if required).
- Must pass a skills assessment exam before starting the position.
- Must be at least 18 years old with a notary license from the sos.wv.gov website
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience as a notary public or in a related field (e.g., real estate, legal, or financial services).
- Certification as a loan signing agent is a plus.
