Purpose of Position :
Responsible for the assisting with the overall operation of the Human Resources Department to include, but not limited to, recruitment, staffing, retention, training, employee housing, and the smooth operation of the HR office in compliance with all company policies, as well as, all federal, state and local legislation.
Recruitment :
Assist Director of HR in placing proper advertisements of open positions both internally and externally via online careers page, local newspaper, bulletin boards, websites etc.Assist departmental management with managing the digital recruitment process, pre-screening applicants, and initiating the digital new hire approval and onboarding process.Assist Director of HR with completing the final onboarding of new hires and rehires, assuring I9 Form completion and complete proper setup of employee within the payroll and time keeping systems.Facilitate "new hire orientation" with all new hires, assist Director of HR with preparing for and executing the new hire orientation presentation at the start of each seasonal as well as various points throughout each season, including the explanation of company policies and employee benefits.Employee Relations :Assist in driving efforts to improve / maintain overall engagement of the workforce - develop and motivate othersAssist with the execution of employee appreciation initiatives including birthday and work anniversary cards, seasonal work anniversary recognition initiatives, seasonal and holiday employee appreciation gatherings, Popcorn Fridays, holiday decorating of back of house areas, and employee of the month & year initiatives.Assist Director of HR and Executive Chef in managing the Employee Dining Room employee benefit, including the inventory and ordering of condiments, popcorn supplies, inventory of soda bibs, etc.Assist Director of HR with the management of the Employee Housing Program, facilitating communications between departmental management and their employees with regard to waiting list visibility, utility management, maintenance and housekeeping needs, and assisting with the execution of lease agreements.Assist Director of HR with the management of the Employee Shuttle Program, including ensuring operational management is working together to ensure fairness in shared driving responsibilities, cleanliness is being maintained, and routine maintenance approval and record keeping.Coaching / Separations / Terminations :
Assist with coordinating exit interviews for separations / terminationsAssist Director of HR and departmental management with the execution of employee disciplinary actions, including being a witness to separation and termination discussions.Financial :Log department purchases and ensure items are within budgetGeneral :

This is a very fast paced busy environmentRegular attendance in conformance with the standards, which may be established by The Liberty Hotel from time-to-time, is essential to the successful performance of this position.
