Manor Vail Lodge is managed by Mountain Mastery Management Inc.
Overview : The Housekeeping supervisor maintains lodge standards relative to ensuring that cleaning personnel are supervised in their daily cleaning tasks by inspecting hotel guestrooms, public areas, the laundry department and assisting in administrative duties. The Supervisor also oversee the Golden Peak Housekeeping and Public Area needs.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Writes requisitions for room supplies and equipment.
Examines rooms for repairs and reports to the housekeeping office for a maintenance work order to be completed.
Examines carpets, drapes and furniture for stains, damage, or wear and reports need for contract cleaning.
Performs inventory of linens and supplies and keeps the storage room clean and orderly.
Records inspection results and notifies cleaning personnel of inadequacies.
Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
Advises manager or front desk of rooms ready for occupancy.
Examines rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine the need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment and makes recommendations to management.
Conducts orientation training other new employees to explain company policies, housekeeping work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
Attends training seminars to perfect housekeeping techniques and procedures and enhance supervisory skills.
Fosters a cooperative work environment, which focuses on trusting relationships, ethics, dignity, maximum productivity, and team member morale.
Qualifications :

Education / Experience :
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Ability :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
Math Ability :
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability :
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills :
Some Computer skills needed.

Supervisory Responsibilities :
Assist the Lead Supervisor with supporting the housekeeping / laundry team.
