What are the responsibilities and job description for the Full Time Facilities Maintenance Assistant position at Mountain Regional Services, Inc?
I. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Essential Functions
A. Reports to the Facilities Maintenance Supervisor (FMS)/designee every working day at 8:00 a.m. for assigned duties.
B. Helps keep company properties clean and organized on an as needed basis.
1. Clean bathrooms daily.
2. Empty all trash daily.
3. Vacuums main building halls daily.
4. Clean carpets on an as needed basis.
5. Deep clean all bathrooms on a quarterly basis.
6. Wash all walls on an as needed basis.
7. Help with deep cleaning on an as needed basis.
C. Helps with Maintenance of Homes and Main Building
1. Repair Walls including painting.
2. Maintenance to furnace and other appliances.
3. Maintenance and upkeep of homes and main building.
D. Report any observed damage to direct supervisor as soon as possible.
E. Assists FMS with snow removal.
F. Assists with lawn care in the summer at the center and houses.
F. Fills in for and assists FMS as needed.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Other
A. Is familiar with the community living sites, addresses, and participants.
B. Works as a Direct Support Professional as needed (refer to DSP job description).
C. Is aware of and follows Mountain Regional Services, Inc. Employee Guidelines, policies, procedures, and protocols.
D. All other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
III. SUPERVISION OVER OTHERS
None
IV. CONTROLS OVER WORK
This is a non-exempt position under the direct supervision of FMS Supervisor.
V. QUALIFICATIONS
A. Knowledge of custodial procedures.
B. Maturity and sound judgment.
C. High School Diploma or equivalent.
D. Ability to work with and knowledge of chemicals used in custodial procedures.
E. Ability to lift equipment and supplies.
F. Ability to bend, kneel and perform other repetitive movements.
G. Must have a valid Driver License and maintain authorized driving status.
H. Ability to obtain and maintain CPI and CPR/First Aid certifications.
I. Must be able to pass all background checks which include the submission of employee fingerprints to the FBI and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation, the Department of Family Services’ Central Registry, and the Office of Inspector General. These background screenings will be conducted at least every five (5) years throughout employment.
