Job Summary
Supervises for the Occupational Health Manager assisting with all functions of the departments, performing a variety of clerical and secretarial duties, including data collection and reporting. This position provides support for the entire Occupational Health Program. Coordinates and assists with new client set up. The following description of job responsibilities and standards is intended to reflect the major duties of the job but is not intended to describe minor or other responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time. Qualifications
Education/Certification: High School diploma or equivalent (GED). Workers Comp. Specialists Certification.
Experience : Medical terminology, Workers Compensation experience preferred. Supervising employees.
Equipment/Technology: Business machines operation required and proficient in MS Office and Excel. Must have knowledge of EMR applications.
Language/Communication: Must have language skills adequate for written and interpersonal communication in English. Must be a great listener and have the ability to communicate expertly and appropriately in English with a diverse group of people.
Mathematical Skills: Basic
Mental Capabilities: Must be even-tempered and able to make sound decisions and judgments. Must have the ability to prioritize multiple and competing customer and staff needs.
Interpersonal: Must have excellent interpersonal skills by treating others with politeness and civility.
Performance: Must be able to perform multi-task operations and work well under pressure. Strives for daily excellence in all verbal and non-verbal communications.

Duties And Responsibilities
- Communicate well and be a team member with all department staff.
- Assist with other department functions, including Employee Health, Compliance, and Education.
- Assist in typing, preparing and gathering information for reports.
- Will be asked to accomplish a wide variety of tasks that range from typical secretarial functions to performing Workers Comp Case Management duties.
- Must be responsible, self-motivated and support a team atmosphere in the department.
- Ability to communicate verbally and answer phones with a pleasant demeanor at all times.
- Demonstrate a clear understanding of the highly confidential nature of all facility and patient and employee information. Demonstrates personal integrity in holding this information in the strictest confidence.
- Must have the ability to evaluate suggestions and criticisms objectively and wherever necessary undertake to change behavior or seek further guidance.
- Must be self-motivated and take personal responsibility for fulfilling tasks and assignments in a timely manner that may include deadlines.
- Utilize educational resources of the facility and seek educational experiences outside as well.
