Job Title: Child Care Program Assistant, II FLSA: Non-Exempt Salary Grade 12 (Min $25.37, Mid $29.81, Max $34.25) Hiring Range: $25.37-$29.81//hourPosting close on 12/29/24. NATURE OF WORK: Under direct supervision, the Child Care Program Assistant II will provide exceptional childcare that enhances the lives of infants and toddlers while aiding Lead Teachers, Assistant Director, and the Director of Childcare/Preschool. The position will perform related functions for Mountain Munchkins ensuring the safety, care, and well-being of assigned children while conducting various childcare duties. This position may assist in training CCA Level I employes.
EXAMPLE OF DUTIES
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Must be proficient in all duties, responsibilities, training and certifications standards of CCA I. Provides direct childcare and interacts with all preschools, toddler, and infant children; maintains and ensures the safety, care, and well-being of assigned children.Open and close the facility when needed.Executes lesson plans and activities related to a specific theme.Conducts assessments and observations on designated children if applicable.Assists in conducting parent teacher conferences if needed.Actively engages children with books, toys, and structured activities.Conducts circle time, arts and crafts, songs, and games.Research and execute art projects, crafts and activities that relate to designated themes.Supervises, monitors children’s play activities and is aware of each child’s location.Coordinates and provides lunch and snacks for children; prepares infant bottles and foods.Provides for the individual needs of children including changing diapers, feeding, napping, and dressing children.Cleans and maintains the facility and assists in providing a safe environment for children.Prepares daily report cards and/or other departmental documentation.Practices a positive, age-appropriate discipline approach. Environmental Factors: Busy, sometimes chaotic environment. Work is performed primarily indoors with some work performed outdoors in varying types of weather. Must be able to work some nights and holidays.Physical Factors: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk and hear.
