Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Laboratory Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting fragile babies. This position requires a strong understanding of laboratory procedures, adherence to CGMP standards, and compliance with FDA regulations. The Laboratory Technician will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of laboratory operations.

Position Summary: MWMMB (a non-profit 501(c)(3) Equal Opportunity Employer) is looking for a full-time lab technician to work in our donor human milk pasteurization lab M-F between the hours of 8am-5pm and occasional nights or weekends.
This position provides pasteurization and distribution of donor human milk to local and regional hospitals.
A successful candidate will demonstrate a positive and enthusiastic attitude, ability to work closely with team members, and have great attention to detail. Must be able to communicate and document paperwork clearly. Food handlers permit or obtain the first day of work.
Primary Responsibilities: Technician for safe processing, manually bottling and pasteurization of human milk.
· Reports to the Lead Lab Technician.
· Works directly with other lab technicians who all coordinate and/or complete cleaning and disinfection processes for clean lab, supplies and equipment as indicated by regulatory protocols.
- Ensure compliance with CGMP and FDA regulations during all laboratory operations as well as HMBANA (Human Milk Banking Association of Northern America) regulations and protocols.
· Completes and documents quality checks on all lab equipment according to manufacturer’s recommendations and food safety guidelines.
· Monitors and records all key process indicators for all phases of milk processing which include time and temperature control.
· Must be able to stand/sit for long periods of time.
· Must be able to pay attention to detail and document clearly.
· Must be able to handle fluctuations with temperatures Cold/Hot/Cold, working with frozen supplies to steam sanitation as well as dry ice at times.
· Must be able to handle food safe disinfectants and antiseptics for sanitation surfaces on equipment as well as soaps for hand and arm scrub in to enter the lab.
· Data entry
· Other duties as assigned.
