Currently we are looking to fill the vital role of Radiology Scheduler.
The Radiology Scheduler is responsible for scheduling appointment times and dates for Radiology patient exams and procedures. Obtains all required patient demographic information and processes data according to procedure. Coordinates and confirms schedule with physicians and advises patient. Maintains resource schedule availability coordinating with technologist and radiologist schedule. Prepares consolidated scheduling reports and distributes copies to departments. Assists with clerical duties as needed. Education: Understands medical terminology. Experience: Prefer one year experience in hospital or clinic. Must be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing and possess skill in working with the public in a customer service environment. Must be detail oriented and have problem solving skills. Must have strong telephone communication skills. Must be emotionally mature and able to function effectively under stress. Must have demonstrated communication skills and ability to manage several tasks simultaneously. Must be able to operate a computer, have computer applications experience and type accurately.
