POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: HME/Delivery Technician
General: The HME/Delivery Technician is responsible for the delivery, education, set-up and pick up of medical equipment, supplemental oxygen products, and supplies to home care clients within a prescribed and assigned geographical area.
Responsible To:COO/Director/Manager
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Become familiar with all DOT and FDA regulations as they pertain to oxygen.
- Fulfills role and responsibilities of Oxygen Technician which include but are not limited to: o CGMP training o Annual review of educational videos and/or other educational material o Bi-annual competency evaluation performed by the Compliance Officer or the
Quality Control Officer o Display knowledge and understanding of filling, processing, handling and shipping of oxygen products o Document the receiving, filling, and handling of oxygen products o Inspect incoming oxygen from supplier to ensure that the oxygen received is ready to be used o Distribute and maintain an inventory of oxygen labels
- Assist, when necessary, the pulling of equipment and supplies from the warehouse as prescribed on client delivery tickets.
- Properly segregates clean and dirty equipment on delivery vehicles and in warehouse.
- Loads and unloads, as needed, home medical equipment, oxygen systems, and related supplies on and off the delivery vehicles.
- Determines or obtains the most efficient daily route, then drives delivery vehicle on that route, to deliver or pick up home medical equipment, oxygen, and supplies to home care clients in a timely manner.
- Orients and instructs clients on the proper use, maintenance, and safety of equipment and ensures that staff are trained in same.
- Completes delivery and pick up paperwork promptly and accurately, including route sheets, manifests and client documentation, returning paperwork to the appropriate staff as needed in a timely manner.
- Cleans and disinfects rental medical equipment.
- Cleans warehouse as needed to keep a professional and well-maintained appearance.
- Assists in minor repair work within scope of training.
- Assists in inventory count as needed.
- Performs daily preventative maintenance and vehicle checks, as required, on assigned vehicles.
- Rotates on call with staff as assigned and needed.
- Performs all warehouse and office maintenance tasks as required.
- Maintains a neat, clean, properly uniformed, professional appearance at all times.
- Works with clients to solve a variety of problems, thereby acting as a company field representative.
- Promote teamwork among co-workers which includes assisting other staff, as needed.
- Demonstrates timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with customers.
- Promotes or markets the company in a positive and professional manner at all times.
- Assumes other duties, within scope of training, as assigned.
Qualifications:Graduated from an accredited high school or GED equivalency.
Experience/Knowledge:Must be at least 18 years of age. Excellent driving record necessary. Good physical condition.Good organizational skills. Willing to function as a responsible, cooperative team member, and help foster a team atmosphere.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $24.00 per hour
Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
