COSMETOLOGY INSTRUCTOR
Location: Lehi Campus
Status: Part-Time
Hours: Thursdays, one evening, and two Saturdays per month
Pay / Salary: $23.38/hour
RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibilities of the Cosmetology Instructor include, but are not limited to:
- Teaching engaging lessons, using hands-on, skill-based competency training to the greatest extent possible.
- Managing and supervising students in the classroom and on the practical floor.
- Evaluating instruction/learning by means of written, oral practical and performance tests.
- Maintaining student-oriented approach, and desirable classroom conditions. Checking equipment daily for hazards, ensuring it is maintained and properly repaired.
- Maintaining accurate and current reports and records regarding student accountability, attendance, and performance.
QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS
- High School diploma or equivalent is required
- Graduation from an accredited Cosmetology School or apprenticeship
- Valid Utah State Cosmetology Instructor's License
- Minimum of three years industry experience is required
- Prior teaching experience is preferred
