Job Title: Assistant Golf Professional (SL)
Reports to: Executive Director of Golf & Recreation and Head Golf Professional
Status: Non-Exempt
Job Type: Full-time, seasonal
Pay Rate: The rate of pay listed on job boards are auto-generated numbers.
Mountaintop’s actual rate of pay will be determined during the hiring process.
Position Summary: To ensure the complete satisfaction of the members and guests at Mountaintop Golf & Lake Club by exceeding their expectations with attention to detail and courteous service.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following as well as other duties and responsibilities that may be assigned.
- Lead the delivery of the ultimate golf experience
- Help oversee large outside service staff and daily operation
- Assist with all facets of multiple tournaments, including regular weekly games
- Provide instruction in a private and group atmosphere
- Maintain high standards of Club Car fleet and over 100 private carts
- Assist our Buyer and her team with customer service, special orders, displays and special projects.
- Assist with golfer check-in; control and manage play
- Marshal / On-course Assistant
- Ensure accuracy of daily opening and closing procedures
- Assist in tournament operations and weekly events including planning, promoting, communicating, course setup, executing billing and follow up
- Assist with men’s, women’s and junior golf events and programs
- Assist with the management of outside service staff to deliver the best customer service
- Assist in managing golf car operation, practice facility, and club storage service
- Provide club repair services as needed
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment for the rest of the team
Qualifications:
- Valid drivers’ license and capable of driving a golf cart.
- Ability to interact daily with members and handle challenging customer relations issues.
- Willing to work various shifts and weekends.
- Basic understanding of the game of Golf.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting, bending, climbing, stooping, and pulling.
- Frequent repetitive motions.
- Continuous standing and walking.
- Possess ability to tolerate outside working conditions and lift up to 60lbs.
