The Executive Principal role is an innovative and results-driven instructional leader responsible for driving rapid and sustained improvement in an elementary school. This role requires a visionary educator with a proven track record of transforming school culture, raising student achievement, and fostering an environment of high expectations and equity for all students.
Key Responsibilities:
Instructional Leadership
Lead the implementation of rigorous, standards-aligned curriculum and instruction.
Use student achievement and school climate data to inform strategic decisions.
Ensure high-quality professional development aligned with school improvement goals.
School Culture & Climate
Establish and maintain a safe, positive, and inclusive school culture.
Build strong relationships with students, staff, families, and the community.
Set and uphold high expectations for student behavior and academic performance.
Talent Management
Recruit, hire, and retain effective educators committed to the school’s mission.
Provide clear, actionable feedback through regular staff observations and evaluations.
Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional growth among staff.
Strategic Planning & Change Management
Develop and execute a school improvement plan focused on student outcomes.
Lead change initiatives with urgency, transparency, and clear communication.
Ensure alignment of resources, schedules, and staffing to support improvement goals.
Family & Community Engagement
Foster authentic partnerships with families to support student success.
Engage community organizations and stakeholders as partners in transformation efforts.
Education and Qualifications
5–7 years of teaching experience, preferably in elementary education.
3–5 years of experience in school leadership roles (assistant principal, instructional coach, or principal).
Demonstrated success leading school turnaround or transformation efforts (improving test scores, school climate, etc.).
Experience working with diverse and high-needs student populations (ELLs, Title I schools, etc.).
