Accounts Receivable (AR) Analyst – Royal Oak, MI

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized AR Analyst to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing, and supporting the finance team with reporting and reconciliation. Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and send customer invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage AR aging reports, following up on outstanding balances.
- Apply customer payments (checks, ACH, and wires) to appropriate accounts and serve as a backup to cash application.
- Track and manage purchase orders (POs), ensuring accurate invoicing and reconciliation.
- Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries.
- Assist with month-end close by reconciling AR accounts and preparing reports.
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve AR processes and increase efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records and support audit activities as needed.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
- 1 years of AR experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
- Experience with customer invoicing, PO tracking, and cash application is strongly preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables) is required.
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, QuickBooks, or similar) is a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong Candidate Profile:
Candidates with customer invoicing experience, familiarity with POs, and cash application skills will be highly preferred and prioritized for interviews.
