Financial Controller (Global Manufacturing)
Location: Lake Orion, MI
Salary: $125k-$130k Bonus
Our innovative and growing global manufacturing company is seeking an experienced Controller to lead our accounting operations. This role is ideal for a results-driven financial professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about process improvement and financial leadership.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee all site accounting operations, including AR, AP, GL, P&L, Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
- Lead and develop the accounting team, improving processes to enhance operational efficiency.
- Manage cash flow and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting.
- Collaborate with the General Manager to drive financial growth and strategic initiatives.
- Prepare and present annual forecasts, budgets, and capital expenditure plans to senior management.
- Analyze cost variances and provide insights to business unit leaders for informed decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and accounting principles (US GAAP & IFRS).
- Coordinate external audits and ensure successful execution.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls and accounting systems.
- Oversee month-end and year-end financial close processes within corporate deadlines.
- Prepare and submit financial reports, including cash forecasts, FX reporting, sales statistics, and CAPEX reporting.
- Manage tax filings and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Mentor and develop the accounting team, fostering a culture of excellence and accountability.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; CPA, CMA, or Master’s in Accounting/Finance preferred.
- 5-10 years of experience in accounting/finance, preferably within an international company.
- Expertise in managing multiple legal entities under different corporate structures.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP & IFRS.
- Experience with financial reporting systems such as Navision (MS Dynamics) and SAP-SEM.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- High energy, detail-oriented, and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and drive financial strategy.
Salary : $125,000 - $130,000
