Our client is a global manufacturer of complex metal components and products, primarily serving the aerospace, power generation, and general industrial markets.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Identifies legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Responsible for the staffing and employment functions.
- Responsible for administrating all benefits programs.
- Responsible for all HRIS system and data integration.
- Coordinates site training plan
- Representation for investigation and resolution of employee relations issues.
- Administers performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within organization.
- Administers compensations and salary administration programs to ensure compliance and equity.
- Prepares employee separation notices and related documentation, and conducts exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
- Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
- Contracts with outside suppliers to provide employee services such as worker's comp, benefits broker, employee assistance program, etc.
Experience & Education
10 years related experience and a bachelor degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field required OR
7 years related experience and a bachelor degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, or related field required
5 years of leadership/people management in human resources required
Prior experience in the manufacturing environment required
Required Skills
- Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer service including assessments and audits, standards and benchmarks, evaluation of program effectiveness, and resolution of problems, bottlenecks, and deficiencies.
- Knowledge of benefits, performance evaluation, and compensation plans; Understanding of individual performance, abilities, learning, and motivation; Knowledgeable about agency laws and regulations relating to human resources (FLSA, EEO, etc.).
- Knowledge of management principles involved in strategic planning and forecasting including people, material, and equipment resource allocation; corporate and human resource policies and benefits; leadership; teaming; and production methods.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Bi-lingual is a high preference
- Detailed, accurate, and organized; Ability to inform others about company benefits, policies, and procedures.
- Proactive communicator who can clearly articulate results and needs across all levels
- Ability to establish and communicate clear priorities and to influence others to support and act on those priorities.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
