Post Production Supervisor
Summary
The Post Production Supervisor is involved in every aspect of production in their respective area (Dyno/Autopsy/Torque Converter) and reports directly to the Plant Manager. In this role you will improve processes; oversee planning, monitor work, coach and mentor staff, and solve production-related problems while improving the quality and supporting our overall remanufacturing process. A clear focus on continuous improvement, customer satisfaction and quality is a crucial part of this role. Additionally, this person will work hand in hand with other supervisors to create a dynamic, efficient, successful and united supervisory team.
Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and modify operating procedures as required to establish standard work within the department.
- Manage personnel to hit production targets and develop a positive culture. Communicate job expectations. Plan, monitor, and appraise job results. Coach, counsel and discipline employees. Initiate, develop, and enforce systems, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain staff by working with Human Resources to recruit, select, orient, and train employees. Develop personal growth opportunities.
- Maintain workflow by monitoring and auditing steps of the production process. Ensure quality checks are being performed and that the correct actions are taken to solve problems.
- Provide concise and consistent communication with other departments to ensure company goals are being met.
- Achieve production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel within and between departments if needed.
- Ensure operation of tools and gages by calling for repairs, replacement or evaluating new tools or techniques.
- Maintain safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on policy. Maintain professional and technical knowledge. Review professional publications, leverage internal resources, establish personal networks, and benchmark best practices.
- Initiate, participate in, and support Kaizen events and other Lean training to drive a continuous improvement culture.
Requirements
- 10 years experience in fast paced hard goods manufacturing environment.
- 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role in a LEAN manufacturing environment.
- 5 years in Mechanics
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Automotive Diagnostic experience preferred
- Metrics driven
- Systems savvy – comfortable using ERP system, excel, and other software to manage and improve production
- A true leader that champions their team and motivates them towards success.

- Strong leadership skills and independent thinking when needed
- Excellent problem solving skills and willing to get into the detail
