Case Aide I - Child Support
This role involves processing child support applications, program referrals, case transfers, case reopening, and requests review or modifications by evaluating the specific circumstances of each case. This is done through investigative interviews with parties involved, as well as researching and collecting evidence from databases, employers, and internal or external agencies. The role also includes determining whether custody or parenting time has been established, analyzing data from other agencies to assess whether referrals to open or reopen cases are appropriate, and evaluating whether genetic testing is necessary. If so, the role coordinates the testing and ensures proper procedures are followed to maintain the chain of custody.
Additionally, the position evaluates cases for appropriate actions to establish, modify, or enforce court orders across two-state or countries, working in coordination with other jurisdictions. Managing a complex caseload, the role adheres to both state and federal guidelines, applying or adapting established processes and procedures as needed. The position also provides assistance to clients, interested parties, and applicable agencies by explaining complex procedures and processes, or by referring them to appropriate resources. Finally, they determine the appropriate enforcement remedies for each case based on individual circumstances.

Minimum Qualifications of Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.); and high school degree, or the equivalent, and in addition either : 1) three years of clerical experience and/or experience working with the public.
- two years of clerical experience in public welfare/ human service agency; or
- two years of experience as Community Service Aide or similar experience in a private non-profit or other public agency; or
- two years of study at an accredited school with emphasis in behavioral sciences, business or closely related field.

Nature of Work:
This position is responsible for making defined decisions in supporting clients by identifying community services and resources; providing specialized information regarding clients' needs; and providing direct services to clients when requested. Responsibilities may include providing information to participants; reviewing information; interviewing participants; and maintaining and coordinating the collection and maintenance of related files.
