What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Manager (Rail Transit) position at MP Engineers + Architects?
Responsibilities include but are not limited to :
- Implement the Quality Assurance Plan (QAP) and Quality Management System (QMS) following PANYNJ, NJT, AMTRAK QA / QC Guidelines to maintain and to improve quality standards.
- Coordinate and manage all quality-related issues among the PMC team, the client (PANYNJ, NJT, AMTRAK), Design Consultants (DCs), and General Contractors (GCs).
- Review quality plans and procedures from DCs and GCs to ensure compliance with quality standards set by the project.
- Schedule and coordinate management reviews of the QMS to verify effectiveness and promote continuous improvement.
- Ensure test equipment calibration and documentation of tests in accordance with contract documents.
- Coordinate inspection including the special inspections activities between Field Inspectors and GCs’ staff.
- Monitor the schedule to ensure inspection and testing activities are timely.
- Inspect incoming materials and construction activities to ensure they meet quality requirements.
- Prepare and maintain quality checklists, forms, and reports systematically.
- Review the GCs’ project submittal log and all other project-specific quality control reports.
