Job Description
As a key member of the mp-wired-for-hr team, you will be responsible for establishing and maintaining positive employee relations programs at our facility. Your duties will include administering wage/salary, benefits, risk management, and training programs, as well as contract administration and legal compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to facility policies and procedures and monitoring the work environment for potential hazards.
- Serve as the EEO Coordinator for the facility.
- Source, recruit, and retain hourly and salaried employees through advertising, interviewing, and new employee orientation.
- Maintain legal compliance with federal and state laws.
- Administer wage/salary and benefits programs.
- Verify and submit payroll in a timely manner.
- Prepare various reports, including overtime and open position/interviewing reports.
- Submit employee 401k contributions and employer matches.
- Schedule employee meetings and maintain calendars.
- Participate in monthly safety committee and daily production meetings.
- Communicate effectively throughout the organization and guide discussions on difficult issues.
- Provide guidance and solutions to organizational issues consistent with operational effectiveness.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
- Four years' experience in manufacturing.
Additional Qualifications and Skills:
- Ability to work with basic mathematical equations and apply concepts to practical situations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software (EXCEL, WORD, OUTLOOK) and internal systems.
- Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in various formats.
