We are seeking a full-time Bartender to join our team at Eau Palm Beach Resort & Spa. As a key member of our team, you will play an essential role in providing exceptional service to our guests, upholding the standards of our Forbes Five-Star resort.

Job Description:

The Bartender is responsible for taking orders, preparing and serving alcoholic, and non-alcoholic beverages and light meals to guests, courteously and efficiently according to hotel specifications as well as maintaining stock and supplies and cleanliness of outlet and equipment.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, gracious, motivated, detail-oriented, and responsive service to create a memorable dining experience for customers.
• Ensure compliance with all State and local alcohol ordinances and the implementation of those ordinances.
• Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items, liquor brands, beers, and non-alcoholic selections available in the assigned outlet.
• Maintain complete knowledge of designated glassware, ingredients, preparation method, and garnishes for each drink.
• Maintain complete knowledge of table/seat/station numbers, room capacity, hours of operation, menus, price range, and dress code of assigned outlet.
• Maintain complete knowledge and comply with all departmental policies and service procedures.
• Input orders into the system and ensure transmission of food orders is verified by the kitchen.
• Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond accurately to any guest inquiry.
• Handle guest complaints following the instant pacification procedures and ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Present guest checks and process payments. Adhere to all cash handling and credit policies/procedures.

Essential Qualifications:

• Minimum of 18 years of age to serve alcoholic beverages.
• One year experience as a Bartender or Bar back.
• Food handling certificate.
• Ability to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, and co-workers to their understanding.
• Ability to provide legible communication.
• Ability to compute basic mathematical calculations.

Essential Skills:

• Ability to understand guests' service needs.
• Ability to access and input information into Micros system.
• Ability to be well organized, maintain concentration, and think clearly when preparing drinks and providing service to guests within any given period of time.
• Ability to focus on details.
• Ability to exercise good judgment in determining potentially intoxicated guests.
• Ability to maintain good coordination while preparing and serving orders quickly.
• Ability to exert strong physical effort in transporting cases of liquor and beer kegs from storeroom to bar.
• Ability to endure abundant physical movements throughout the work areas.
• Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
