SUMMARY
We are actively seeking a Product Manager for our Deerfield, WI location. The Product Manager will report to the Plant Manager. The Product Manager translates our client’s vision and business strategy into product requirements. Leads and manages the product’s discovery & design process. Provides guidance and product features and quality oversight to the development and implementation phase of the project to ensure the final product we deliver exceeds client expectations.
DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES
· Coordinate with supervisors/management all Manufacturing department activities.
· Provide direction and support to all supervisors in all production areas under area of supervision to meet customer demands.
· Coordinate with Production Control scheduling plans to meet customer demands.
· Coordinate with Tool Room Supervisor repair and building of production tooling as required.
· Coordinate with Maintenance Manager repair of production machines as required.
· Monitor and control production of scrap.
· Evaluate with QA Manager rejected or tagged products.
· Coordinate with all other support departments to ensure production needed and meet all company objectives.
· Sponsor process improvement initiatives within the plant.
· Participate in all AQP meetings (or designate).
· Participate in all Quality meetings (or designate).
· Evaluate production processes and procedures on the floor.
· Report needs, progress, or needs to the appropriate department or position.
· Ensures all policies and procedures of the company are carried out as an agent for the company.
REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related field and/or 7-10 years’ experience in manufacturing management
- Demonstrated ability to lead others effectively to achieve desired results
- Proven problem solving capabilities
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
- Knowledge and experience with World-Class tools such as Canban self-directed work teams, Quality Standard systems, etc.
- Prior experience in product management
Preferred Qualifications:
· Prior Automotive Industry Experience
· Ability to organize tasks and systematically follow-through to successful completion
· Knowledge of MPI products and processes
· Experience and integrity expected in an agent’s position
