Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Oncology Professional to provide comprehensive care to patients in our outpatient infusion suites. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide oncology care, including assessments, diagnosis, and treatment plans, in a clinic setting with 74 chairs in the outpatient infusion suite and 12 chairs at another location.
- Oversee patient care in infusion suites, ensuring adherence to chemotherapy safety protocols.
- Collaborate with oncologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
- Educate patients and families about treatment plans, side effects, and symptom management.
- Participate in clinical team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
- Licensed as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) in the state of Louisiana or eligible for compact licensure; DEA certification; BLS, ACLS, and chemotherapy certification required.
