What are the responsibilities and job description for the Community Engagement Specialist position at MPOWR Culture?
Who We Are:
MPOWR CULTURE introduces discipline and determination that creates efficient, versatile athletes. We are intentional about sowing seeds to help impact athletes’ lives and change the basketball culture.
Through youth basketball programs, mental performance coaching, and events athletes gain an arsenal of tools to use that strengthen their social, emotional wellness. Our organization is committed to the personal development of athletes, both on and off the court. Weekly basketball classes, seasonal basketball camps, select summer teams, and fall basketball leagues are available for players grades 3- 12.
Responsibilities:
• Represent MPOWR Culture at local events
• Enthusiastically engage with clients, donors, and community members
• Build rapport with clients, donors, and community members through ongoing communication
• Assist in planning, organizing, developing, and evaluating special events
• Provide detailed recaps and reports following each event
• Collaborate with marketing team to create campaigns that target community engagement
• Identify funding opportunities including grants, donor giving, & corporate sponsorship
• Assist in developing fundraising strategies for annual and end-of-year giving & analyze campaign effectiveness
Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
• Experience with data management
• Great leadership skills
SCHEDULE:
15 - 20 hours a week. Locations vary throughout Austin area
