Job Description:
Mr. Fix It of Sierra Vista is seeking a reliable and organized Part-Time Shop/Materials and Fleet Specialist to join our team, with potential for full-time employment. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining the organization and upkeep of our shop, ensuring equipment and materials are properly stocked, and managing the maintenance schedule of our fleet, including oil changes and repairs for both vehicles and larger equipment. Additionally, you will pick up materials from local suppliers and bring them to the shop for upcoming projects.
Key duties include driving trucks with trailers attached for dump runs, unloading trailers, and operating a forklift. The position also requires lifting heavy items (over 75 pounds) regularly and assisting in painting, assembling, or organizing materials for upcoming jobs. This role involves early morning shifts and is ideal for someone who can handle both physical and detailed work while also assisting with front office tasks when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain organization of the shop and ensure equipment and materials are stocked.
- Pick up materials from local businesses and deliver them to the shop.
- Oversee fleet maintenance, including scheduling and tracking repairs and oil changes for vehicles and larger equipment.
- Drive trucks with trailers attached for dump runs and unload trailers as needed.
- Operate a forklift to move and organize heavy materials and equipment.
- Lift and handle heavy items over 75 pounds.
- Assist with painting, assembling, or organizing materials for upcoming jobs to ensure projects are ready.
- Assist in the front office as needed, including answering phones and helping with basic office tasks.
- Support upcoming projects by ensuring all materials and tools are ready and available.
- Work early morning shifts as required.
Qualifications:
- Experience operating a forklift is required.
- Must be able to drive trucks with trailers attached.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items (over 75 pounds) regularly.
- Experience with painting, assembling, or organizing materials is a plus.
- Highly organized with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Comfortable driving and picking up materials.
- Good communication skills and ability to assist in a front office environment when required.
- Basic knowledge of fleet maintenance is a plus.
- Availability for early morning shifts is required.
Compensation:
- Salary is DOE (Depending on Experience)
