The Inside Sales/Store Manager is responsible for the internal daily operations of the branch, selling welding equipment and supplies, and maintaining inventory levels within the locations warehouse and retail store. They will support the Outside Sales Representatives and field all incoming calls directing them to the appropriate personnel. They also will process all incoming and outgoing shipments to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Communicate and cultivate the Core Values of OSC internally and externally
- Attend and participate in biweekly L-10 meetings
- Sell welding equipment and supplies to customers using technical knowledge
- Responsible for day to day operations including opening and closing the store, reconciling cash balance in the till, and working with building owner on building issues
- Field all incoming calls and route to appropriate personnel
- Create orders for customers and communicate delivery schedules
- Work closely with Sales Department to assist with customer quotes, questions and orders
- Reference technical books/manual, sharing information with employees and customers
- Work with customers to expedite or locate missing, misrouted, delayed or damaged merchandise; and any other customer complaints
- Handle cylinder transactions and sell various OSC gas programs
- Maintain store inventory levels and proper labeling of products
- Assemble products for demo displays
- Maintain cleanliness of the building to ensure safety of all employees, customer, vendors and visitors
- Load and unload delivery vehicles using appropriate equipment (i.e. operating forklifts) and maintain warehouse organization
- Inspect deliveries from vendors for product damages and notify management of any defects
- Prepare and complete daily orders for customer shipments/deliveries; includes picking orders, material packaging, labeling shipments, and paperwork completion
Other Responsibilities:
- Perform a variety of special projects as assigned by supervisor
Education, Experience and Skills:
- High School diploma or equivalency
- Previous customer service and sales experience is a plus
- Basic knowledge of welding and gases industry preferred
- Must be a team player with good communication and works well with others
- Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook is required
- Demonstrate professionalism, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to adjust and interact with all levels of personnel
- Must be organized, have good reasoning skills, math aptitude and time management skills
Job Specifications/Requirements:
Ability to stand on your feet 5-6 hours a day with occasional walking, twisting, bending, reaching, lifting/carrying, grasping and repetitive motions; frequent sitting. Frequent lifting of 20-25lbs is required, may at times lift up to 75lbs. Reoccurring Pushing/pulling of 25lbs up to 75lbs. Ability to work in moderately warm or cold conditions where high noise levels are possible. Willingness to travel as necessary for training and seminars.

The range for for this position is $52,289 annually - $78,433 annually. Pay is dependent on several factors including relevant work experience and internal equity.
