The team is looking for a Quality Assurance Technician to join their team. You will create programs for measuring new and existing models, components, and gages/fixtures as well as completing initial sample inspection reports by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Creates programs to accurately measure new and existing models, components & gages/fixtures.
- Record and track measurements to create non-conformance reports.
- Performs capability studies, part layouts, and measures other equipment to produce initial inspection sample reports for engineering.
- Performs manual measurements on the parts for engineers, production & maintenance as part of line set-ups.
- Troubleshoots and makes corrections for production operators as needed.
- Identifies problems and root causes and develops solutions to improve the quality of parts, assemblies, and processes within the plant.
- Creates SOP’s for inspection and other quality processes.
- Works closely with production, order purchasing and order fulfillment to maintain and improve overall quality of our products.
- Conduct continuous training with employees to properly use precision measuring equipment to accurately ensure spec compliance.
- Works with suppliers to reduce quality defects and ensure we have adequate supply of good parts to meet customer demands.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Associate degree; or five years or more of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints including Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) High Programming skills for appropriate software.
