Blair Fire Protection, a top industry leader in fire prevention and protection, is seeking a Sprinkler Fitter Apprentice to join their growing team in the Janesville, WI area. Showcase your mechanical aptitude, work ethic, and commitment while working side-by-side with a skilled journeyman sprinkler fitter to learn the sprinkler fitter trade.
Apprentices will complete on-the-job training along with an apprenticeship program toward becoming a journeyman sprinkler fitter specializing in the installation of automatic fire protection systems. Your employment relationship will be governed by a collective bargaining agreement with UA Local 669 upon hire.
Local travel is required, primarily in the Madison and Kenosha area. Weekly vehicle mileage allowance provided.

- Prior experience in construction fields such as plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, or electrician is a plus
- Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, and lift 100 lbs
- Ability to stand and walk frequently during an 8 to 10-hour shift
- A high school diploma or GED is required
- A valid driver’s license and clean driving record are required
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Distribute the piping and accessories from the truck to the designated material laydown area
- Assemble and secure pipes, tubes, fittings, and related equipment according to specifications by welding, brazing, cementing, soldering, and threading joints
- Install, inspect, and repair fire sprinkler systems
- Complete correspondence coursework toward becoming a journeyman sprinkler fitter
- Learn applicable fire protection codes and obtain applicable state licenses
- Clean up job site vehicle and tools
- Travel to job sites as required. Must have reliable transportation
