Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Maintenance Helper to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist in the maintenance and repair of facilities and equipment, ensuring that all operations run smoothly. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to providing excellent support in all areas of service. The Maintenance Helper will work closely with experienced maintenance staff and will have the opportunity to learn various skills in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist in performing routine maintenance and repairs on equipment and facilities.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness of property
- Organization of materials
- Utilize tools and equipment for tasks such as welding, electrical work, and fabrication, etc.
- Assist in pick-up/delivery of parts/material and in-house delivery.
- Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities
- Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Support the supervision of maintenance projects, ensuring compliance with safety standards.
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, providing excellent customer service.
- Collaborate with team members to complete assigned tasks efficiently.
- All other duties as required.
Experience
- Previous experience in facilities maintenance or a related field is preferred.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
- Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Must be able to climb ladders and work from high elevations
- Must be mechanically inclined
- Ability to read and understand technical schematics.
- Must be familiar with OSHA safety standards and adhere to all safety procedures and policies.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
- Must be able to work both independently with limited oversight as well as working with a team.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- Must pass background check and drug screen
- Must have valid driver's license
