Overview

PRIVATE OVERNIGHT CAREGIVERS NEEDED at a lovely estate with good pay and perks. This is a light-duty awake-overnight position with ample opportunities for rest, relaxation, study, or entertainment. We seek high-quality people who enjoy seeing the difference they make just by being around. Direct care experience is nice, but we'll provide training to all successful candidates, whether you're a philosophy student or nursing pro.

YOU'LL BE HELPING a disabled young-professional adult who is intelligent, educated, employed, and capable of directing his needs. Your one-on-one care helps him remain working and at home with his family, so this is a rewarding opportunity to gain deep healthcare knowledge and experience by assisting with a safe sleeping environment and activities of daily-or rather nightly-living (ADLs).

PAY is $20-$22/hr plus paid time off, sick/personal days, and frequent bonuses. Other perks include gigabit fiber Wifi, premium streaming services, staff kitchen and rest area, free espresso/coffee/energy bar, and a supportive team that genuinely cares about your wellbeing.

CURRENT OPENINGS include the following. You need not take all of these; even one full overnight would
help. If you see a full overnight where you could only work a partial, please apply anyway.

- Monday overnights (10p-Tue 7a)
- Tuesday overnight (10p-Wed 3a)

- Friday Partial overnight (Fri 3a-7a)

- Friday overnight (10p-Sat 8a)
- Saturday overnight (10p-Sun 8a)
- Sunday overnight (10p-Mon 7a)

As part of your hire, you may be eligible to pick up open daytime shifts as well, often with large bonuses. We work hard to make the schedule work for our team. *Note: For partial 3am-7am shifts, we strongly prefer you arrive at 10pm and sleep undisturbed in the private guest room until your shift begins.

REQUIREMENTS include dependability and timeliness, reliable transportation, excellent communication with full understanding and speaking of English, good judgment, a positive and professional attitude, ability to use a smartphone, and ability to briefly lift 50 lbs. Applicants must be 18 or older, living within 30 minutes of North Mankato, and able to pass a thorough background check.

Description of Responsibilities

Primary Duties
Provide general light-duty care and monitoring; check wellbeing, vitals, and safety. Ensure basic
needs are met.

Be available during shifts to respond rapidly to requests for aid.
Assist in repositioning or sitting up in bed.
Assist with basic use of BiPap ventilator (mask on/off, machine on/off, check/fill humidifier).
Assist with personal hygiene and grooming.
Assist with water intake.
Assist with limited medication.
Assist with basic toileting and GI care.
Assist with tubing replacement or flushes; assist with maintenance and cleaning of other medical
equipment.
Assist with basic range of motion and physical maintenance, which may include percussion.
Assist with retrieving or using basic items.
Maintain a hygienic environment by washing hands and disinfecting used surfaces.
Occasionally disinfect equipment such as BiPap and nebulizer.
Keep regularly used items clean.
Report or summarize daily info for others during shift changes.

Secondary Duties (less frequent)
Assist with basic occasional household maintenance, possibly including:
Disinfect surfaces; occasional dusting. Vacuum, mop, or sani-wipe.
Remove obstacles and clutter or store items as directed.
Keep sinks and toilets, towels and rags hygienic by using as specified/dedicated and
occasionally cleaning.
Change and clean bedding.
May assist in training other aides.
