What are the responsibilities and job description for the Clinical Assessment Specialist position at MRG Exams?
MRG Exams is a leading provider of Independent Medical Exams for Worker's Compensation, Disability, and the Veterans Administration. We are seeking a Licensed Psychologist to join our team as an Independent Contractor.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D from an APA Accredited program/school and hold an active and unrestricted Psychology license. They will also meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
As a Licensed Psychologist with MRG Exams, you will be responsible for performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. This will involve reviewing behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and performing comprehensive assessments in person on each Veteran.
You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal. The Licensed Psychologist does not make disability determinations; this is done by the U.S. Veterans Administration using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
This role performs Disability Assessments only on Veterans and does not involve treating patients or prescribing medication. On average, you will review and assess 4 Veterans per day.
