What are the responsibilities and job description for the Veterans Disability Assessment Specialist position at MRG Exams?
Job Overview
MRG Exams is a leading provider of Independent Medical Exams for Worker's Compensation, Disability, and the Veterans Administration. We are seeking a highly skilled Licensed Psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D from an APA Accredited program/school, an active and unrestricted Psychology license, and meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
This is an IN-PERSON position requiring the assessment of 4 Veterans per day on average. The successful candidate will be brought on as an Independent Contractor with a schedule of 1 day/week, with additional telehealth days.
We offer Malpractice Insurance coverage and Health insurance options available.
The role involves reviewing behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal, performing comprehensive assessments in person on each Veteran, and completing Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal. The Licensed Psychologist does not make disability determinations; the U.S. Veterans Administration makes all disability determinations, in part using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
If you are a motivated Licensed Psychologist looking to take on an assessment role, we encourage you to apply.
