Job Description
As a Licensed Psychologist with a PsyD or Ph.D., you will play a crucial role in performing medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. You will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure Web Portal and conduct comprehensive assessments in person for each Veteran.
Key Responsibilities
- Review electronic behavioral health records to gather information about Veterans' mental health
- Conduct comprehensive in-person assessments to evaluate Veterans' mental health status
- Complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the Web Portal to provide detailed findings
- Communicate assessment results to the U.S. Veterans Administration for disability determinations
Requirements
- Must have a Ph.D. or Psy.D from an APA-accredited program/school
- Hold an active and unrestricted Psychology license
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA
