Description
We are looking for a Licensed Psychologist to conduct medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
In this role, you will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and perform comprehensive assessments in person for each Veteran.
You will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal.
The Licensed Psychologist does not make disability determinations; the U.S. Veterans Administration makes all decisions, using findings recorded in the DBQs.
This position only involves Disability Assessments for Veterans; you will not treat patients or prescribe medication.
As a Licensed Psychologist, you will assess approximately 4 Veterans per day.
This is a part-time, in-person position, scheduled for Wednesdays through Fridays.
Requirements
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. degree from an APA-accredited program.
- An active and unrestricted Psychology license.
- Credentialing requirements set forth by the VA must be met.
