Job Overview
- We are seeking a licensed psychologist to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
- The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program, hold an active and unrestricted psychology license, and meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
- This role involves reviewing behavioral health records electronically and performing comprehensive assessments in person on each Veteran.
- The licensed psychologist will also complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through a secure Web Portal.
- It is essential to note that the licensed psychologist does not make disability determinations; this responsibility lies with the U.S. Veterans Administration.
Description
In this role, you will review electronic medical records, conduct in-person assessments, and complete DBQs to help Veterans receive the support they need.
As a licensed psychologist, you will be responsible for assessing four Veterans per day and ensuring that your findings accurately reflect their medical conditions.
