Job Overview:
- A licensed psychologist with a PsyD or Ph.D. is sought to perform medical assessments on U.S. Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Description:
We are looking for a licensed psychologist to conduct independent medical evaluations on United States Veterans.
The successful candidate will review behavioral health records electronically through a secure web portal and perform comprehensive in-person assessments for each Veteran.
Additionally, they will complete Disability Benefits Questionnaires (DBQs) through the web portal.
This role is responsible for conducting assessments, not making disability determinations, which are made by the U.S. Veterans Administration using the findings recorded in the DBQs.
The average workload consists of assessing 4 Veterans per day, working part-time on Mondays and Tuesdays.
This is an in-person position that requires independence and autonomy.
Requirements:
- A Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA-accredited program/school.
- An active and unrestricted psychology license.
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
