About the Role
MRG Exams values the skills and expertise of its healthcare professionals. As a Disability Assessor, you will play a critical role in supporting the VA's disability benefits process. Your primary responsibility will be to perform medical assessments on United States Veterans, reviewing their medical records and conducting in-person exams. The findings from these assessments will be documented electronically through our web portal. It is essential to understand that as a Disability Assessor, you do not have the authority to make disability determinations, which remain the responsibility of the United States Veterans Administration. Instead, your focus will be on delivering high-quality, independent medical assessments.
You will be working with a caseload of approximately 3-5 Veterans per day, requiring strong analytical and communication skills. Proficiency in computer systems is also necessary for this role. A current, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant license is mandatory, and previous experience in similar roles would be beneficial.
