The Role of a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in Performing Disability Assessments
In this role, you will perform medical assessments on United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process.
Key Responsibilities
- Review medical records electronically through a web portal and conduct a focused, in-person physical exam on each Veteran.
- Electronically document the exam findings required by the VA through the web portal.
- Perform Disability Assessments on 3-5 Veterans per day.
Requirements
- Hold a current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (NCCPA accredited) license.
- Meet the credentialing requirements set forth by the VA.
Work Environment
This is an IN-PERSON position. You will work in a clinical setting, Monday to Friday (8am-5pm).
