Job Summary:
A dynamic and compassionate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant is sought to conduct medical assessments for United States Veterans as part of the VA's disability benefits process. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in performing Independent Medical Assessments, excellent analytical skills, and proficiency in time management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review electronic medical records through a web portal
- Perform focused, in-person physical exams on each Veteran
- Document exam findings electronically through the web portal
- Analyze data from medical records and exam findings to complete questionnaires and form medical opinions
Requirements:
- CURRENT, UNRESTRICTED NP or PA (NCCPA accredited) LICENSE
- Ability to work with computer systems
Work Environment:
- This is an IN-PERSON position
- Schedule: PART-TIME (Monday, Tuesday)
- Typical day: 3-5 patients per day
- All work is performed in a clinical setting
